Yann Bramoullé is Research Director at the CNRS ("Centre National de la Recherche Sceintifique") and at the Aix-Marseille School of Economics, where he also acts as Scientific Director. Before moving to Aix-Marseille, Yann was Associate Professor of Economics at Laval University in Québec. His research was funded by an ERC Consolidator Grant "Markets and Networks".

Yann is an economic theorist specializing in networks. His recent work analyzes the identification of network effects and the role played by altruism networks. His papers have been published in Econometrica, the American Economic Review, Journal of Econometrics, and Journal of the European Economic Association. He was co-editor of the "Oxford Handbook of the Economics of Networks", published in 2016, and was nominated to the prize for the best French young economist (under age 40) in 2013. He obtained his Ph.D. in agricultural and resource economics in 2002 from the University of Maryland.
