Faculty > Habiba DjebbariHabiba Djebbari is Associate Professor at the Aix-Marseille School of Economics and Research Fellow at IZA (Institute for the Study of Labour). Before moving to Aix-Marseille, Habiba was Associated Professor of Economics at Université Laval. Her research has received funding from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, among others. Habiba is a development economist studying the drivers of health and education choices in poor countries. She is an applied econometricians and has made significant contributions to the econometrics of networks. His papers have been published in the Journal of Applied Econometrics, Journal of Econometrics and Economic Development and Cultural Change. She coordinates the Development Economics and Growth group within the Aix-Marseille School of Economics, and she presides the African Region Standing Committee of the Econometric Society. She obtained her Ph.D. in agricultural and resource economics in 2004 from the University of Maryland.
